Legend of the Seagullmen, the seafaring-themed band featuring Tool drummer Danny Carey and Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds, has shared a new song called “Fogger,” which will appear on the group’s forthcoming self-titled debut album. The track is now available on digital outlets.
“‘The Fogger’ is a mystical aquatic tale about The Seagullmen’s very own drummer, Danny Carey,” LoS guitarist Jimmy Hayward tells Revolver.
“He stalks the ocean in search of users, abusers and polluters and deals lethal justice with his third eye while ripping the faces from skulls,” Hayward continues. “Just like he does during the punishing and beautifully complex drum solo in the middle of the song.”
The Legend of the Seagullmen album will be released February 9. According to Carey, this year will also see the release of Tool’s much anticipated new album, the long-awaited follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days.
