Paul McCartney joined Ringo onstage for his 70th birthday concert

Ringo Starr performed a gig at Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday night to celebrate his 70th birthday.  At the end of the concert, which was a two-hour extravaganza of Beatles classics, covers, and solo jams, Ringo did an all-star rendition of the Beatles’ “With a Little Help from My Friends.”  He was joined onstage by a bunch of artists including: Yoko Ono, Joe Walsh, Steve Van Zandt, AC/DC’s Brian Johnson and Angus Young, ELO’s Jeff Lynne, Nils Lofgren, Max Weinberg and Foreigner’s Mick Jones.  Here’s video of that…

But that didn’t end up being the highlight of the night.  Ringo followed that up with the Beatles hit “Birthday” and that’s when Paul McCartney cam out onstage to sing lead vocals.  Just like the old days, Ringo accompanied him on drums.  Here’s the video…

Andle’s Birthday week of fun!

In celebration of my birthday, which by the way is Tuesday January 27th, I’ve got a week worth of fun planned.  First, on Tuesday (my birthday) I’ll be at Two Frogs Grill to see The Answer perform.  You can still get tickets at okctickets.com, or stop by Main Street Wine Depot in downtown Ardmore.  Tickets are only $20!  You don’t want to miss The Answer at Two Frogs!  They’ve been the opening act for AC/DC’s Black Ice tour and The Answer was handpicked by AC/DC.  They’ve been called Rock Legends and they’re huge in Europe and Japan and it’s only a matter of time before they’re huge here in the States!

Then on Thursday January 29th, it’s the Beauty and the Beast Birthday Bash at Suzy’s in Downtown Ardmore.  There’s no cover and we’ll be having a blast doing karaoke at Suzy’s!  Come join in on the fun at Suzy’s during Win Patton (KKAJ’s Morning Outlaw) and Andle Temple’s Beauty and the Beast Birthday Bash!

On Friday, I’m not celebrating my birthday but I’m joining in on the party at Tenbuck II Nightclub!  Win Patton is continuing his birthday celebration with a night of live music at Tenbuck II, with Arbuckle Express Band, Wendy Anderson & Open Range with KKAJ’s Zac Grantham on drums, and Mark McKinney.  I know its country music but with a few drinks it will sound like rock!

Come on out and help me celebrate my b-day the old fashioned way, with a lot of partying and a lot of fun!
