It’s all over but the shouting! Foo Fighters have put a lot of miles on the highway en route to recording their latest album, and in a new tweet from the band’s producer Butch Vig, it appears as though they’re finally finished with recording the disc.
For those unfamiliar, the Foo Fighters spent the past year traveling to cities with great musical history and recording in special venues. Dave Grohl, who helmed the ‘Sound City’ documentary, let the cameras roll during the band’s recording journey and the end result is a new series called ‘Sonic Highways‘ that will air on HBO in November.
As for Vig’s tweet, it can be read below and confirms that the final recording touches have been completed.
We are officially done with the new Foo Fighters album. 23 straight days mixing! IT'S EPIC!!!— Butch Vig (@butchvig) July 30, 2014
While ‘Sonic Highways’ is the name of the Foo Fighters HBO documentary, the group has yet to officially confirm the title of their upcoming album. The band recorded their disc in Austin, Texas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle and Washington, D.C. As for what fans can expect, Grohl recently stated, “The music is a progression or an evolution, for sure, but it’s a Foo Fighters record."
