WEST NILE VIRUS PREVENTION

West Nile virus is back in Oklahoma. Time to look outside your home for those places mosquitoes might find REAL cozy. The bite of a mosquito infected with West Nile virus could make you very sick, so you don't want them setting up housekeeping near you. Mosquitoes can lay their eggs in small amounts of water. Make it a habit to empty your buckets, flowerpots. pet water bowls, birdbaths, stored tires, and all the other places that can hold water. And make sure your window and door screens are repaired so those little critters can't join you indoors. Let's fight the bite! A message from the Carter County Health Department.
